Garden Village Resort

My entire stay was ruined by the heartbreaking sight at the reception. The owner keeps two dogs in terrible conditions—trapped in a cage with no solid floor, forced to stand and sleep directly on metal bars. Their sad eyes were devastating to watch. When I asked the staff to release them or to speak with management, I was told nobody was available, which felt like a lie.This is clear animal cruelty and is completely unacceptable. If Filipino business owners want to charge European prices, they should uphold basic standards of humanity and animal welfare. I cannot recommend this place to anyone who cares about animals.

Wasn’t very close to town, 35 minute walk. But rent a scooter and you’ll be fine

Great deal for the price. I love the swimming pool small room, but comfortable. Quiet at night. You need your own wheels.

Compared to the low price of the room, the restaurant and bar item prices are quite high so we ended up eating in town instead.

Very small room and bed. The odour in the bathroom was very strong probably from the sewers.

I liked that the location was out of town. A shuttle to town would be nice though. Pool is gorgeous. Room was clean. Restaurant had very attentive staff.

I didn’t like that they charged 400pesos for extra pillows. Seems like a hotel shouldn’t charge for linen.

Reasonable price for the accommodation option. A bit far away from most things, but manageable.

We got woken up at 4.45am because someone, we think the nightguard, was sitting outside our door and smoking cigarettes and listening to loud radio. If it was not the night guard but another guest, then the night guard should have stopped it. Whoever it was ran away, when we turned on the light and took time to get dressed and walk out and complain, so we never found out.

The place is peaceful and relaxing. I like the ambiance. The room is clean and not so small. The interiors are nice, not old school.

The staffs are not so accommodating. No greetings, no smiles. Courteousness and hospitality is not there.

Clean. Spacious and well maintained.

Room was big and the AC worked great. The pool was very relaxing. It was a quiet resort.

Was about a 15 minute ride to the beach and town.

Helpful, friendly staff. Great swimming pool. Breakfast was decent. Nothing fancy but tasty.

Rooms are a little worn. They could use a refresh. Same goes for the CR (bathroom).

Very clean and nice comfortable and very well priced. Good place to stay.

The television did not work very well because none of the apps were updated and the TV was old so we could not watch Netflix only YouTube.

It was just a quick stay because my partner had a stomach problem. The most I liked they accepted early checked in which was we came from main City at 3am and they let us checked in around 10am. They were so understanding. The place was really good. The room was a great value to stay.

We came but there were lots of black small like dead insects or it’s an animals poop in the floor of the room. But the janitors came right away to sweep it out. That was a quick action she did.

Good location, great staff at the facility, very nice and accommodating, food was really good. Nice to be able to have free coffee in the morning.

Beds were hard as a rock, very uncomfortable. It would have been nice to have the rooms cleaned mid-week new towels, sweep room, etc.

The place was really quiet, comfortable and close to Moalboal.

The only thing that I did not like is the closing hours of bar/restaurant (2200), but we are Spanish so we tend to do everything later

friendly and clean. nice a quiet. nice pool 2 for ones in bar from 1-10pm. close walking distance to convenience store and bakery.

For the price, it covered more than the basics in an accommodation.

That the AC wasn’t cool enough even though it was set to 16°C. And that the mattress was springy.

We booked 3 rooms for our group, and everything exceeded our expectations.The service was truly excellent—every staff member was warm, accommodating, and always ready to help us with anything we needed. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and felt like a perfect home base after a day of exploring.One thing that really stood out was their honesty and integrity. My friend accidentally left a gold necklace in the room after we checked out. The team immediately assisted us in locating it and processing the return. We truly appreciate their quick action and transparency, and now we’re just waiting to receive the necklace back.Thank you to everyone at Garden Village Resort for making our stay so smooth and memorable.
